Glossary definition
App Shield
An app shield is a screen or restriction state that can make selected content unavailable under an Apple Screen Time-based configuration.
Why the distinction matters
Clear terms help people choose a tool and setting that fits their actual need. Apple system features, a personal habit, and a clinical concern are not interchangeable. A definition can explain the role of a feature without promising an outcome or suggesting that a product diagnoses, treats, or controls more than it does.
How this relates to Dia Key
Dia Key is a free iPhone gratitude journal with a scheduled selected-app boundary. It uses Appleās permission-based Screen Time approach and adds a short gratitude entry as an intentional pause. Read the Dia Key FAQ and Privacy Policy for current product details.
